Championship

All roads lead to Miltown next Saturday evening when we take on Ballinagore in the 1st Round of the Junior Championship. Throw in is at 6:30pm. Best of luck to all the players and management.

Underage

Well done to our U15s who recorded a fine win in the championship at home to St. Joseph’s on Friday evening.

On Sunday morning the same team faced Tyrrellspass away and came up against a strong home team. Despite a strong start from the home team we battled back as we have done on many occasions this year. The lads showed great bravery and pride to battle away until the end with the second half being a close run contest.

Although well beaten in the end, the team will have learned a huge amount from this experience. There is a big turn out needed in Bun on Wednesday to prepare for our upcoming quarter final. Well done to all the players and management.

Underage Rounders

Saturday sees our U13s travel to Newtownforbes to compete in the Feile taking on amongst others, the 2021 U12 All Ireland winners and local team, Clonbroney. We wish them the best of luck and hope they enjoy the day. Underage training resumes on August 14th at 6:00pm.

Adult Rounders

The bank holiday Monday sees a repeat of last year's social match vs Ballinagore. This was a close game last year, so it will be an interesting game with both teams eager to put on a good display and show how strategy is as important as ability when playing the game.

Sponsorship

Many thanks to Maguire and Sons Painters who sponsored a new set of juvenile jerseys for the club. Martin Maguire was present at training during the week to hand over the jerseys. Many thanks to Martin and we wish him continued success in his business.

Gaelic for Mothers & Others

The Gaelic 4 Mothers & Others have been training away for the past few weeks and really enjoying their sessions. It has been a great social outlet for all involved while also working on skills and fitness levels week on week. There have been great numbers so far and new faces are always welcome. Just email Bung4mo@gmail.com for more information.

Summer Camp

Those who took part in summer camp and have not yet collected their gear, can do so at training on Thursday evening at 7:00pm or on Saturday at 1:00pm.

No winner of Club Lotto on Sunday. Numbers drawn were 8, 15, 18 & 21. 3 Match 3 were Eddie Tormey Snr, Jim McDonnell & Emma McCormack. Sellers prize went to Tommy Tormey. Next draw is on Sunday 15th August. Jackpot €8100.
