Club Meeting

Monthly Club meeting will take place on Monday 22nd January at 8:30pm in the Old Dressing Rooms. If you wish to join the meeting online, please contact Ken for the link.

Bunbrosna GAA Lights Up

‘Ireland Lights Up’ continues on Wednesday next. We encourage everyone to come along for the final 4 Wednesdays.

Ireland Lights Up’ encourages GAA clubs across the 32 counties to light up and bring communities together to walk and talk in a safe environment during the dark winter evenings. Last Wednesday saw a fantastic turn out for our first ever ‘Ireland Lights Up’

We are again inviting club members and members of the local community to get out and walk with us between 6.30 and 7.30pm. The walks will continue every Wednesday evening for the next 4 weeks. Participants are asked to register on the night and we hope to see a good turnout. Proper footwear and high vis jackets are advised!

Irish Life – ‘Every Step Counts Challenge’ 2024

In conjunction with ‘Ireland Lights Up,’ we’ve also enlisted for the ‘Irish Life – Every Step Counts Challenge’ 2024. Irish Life calls on clubs to collectively cover 4,000km over a five-week period (Jan 10th to Feb 12th).

There’s a total of €30,000 in club funding up for grabs from Irish Life, and clubs reaching the target qualify for a draw with prizes like O’ Neill’s vouchers.

Participants are requested to download the ‘My Life’ App and follow the steps in the attached pictures to record steps on smartphones/wearable trackers (Apple Watch, Fit-Bit, etc.)

Condolences

All at Bunbrosna GAA were deeply shocked and saddened to learn in recent days of the passing of Oliver Moore, Ballinalack.

Oliver was one of life’s gentlemen who was known far and wide for his friendly and warm character. While giving years of dedication to the Mullingar Agricultural Show, Oliver was also a great supporter of our Club down through the years. He was always on hand to support the local community in whatever way he could.

To his cousins, relatives, neighbours and many friends, we offer our deepest sympathies to you all at this very sad time.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh sé.
